Student leadership
At St. Mary's Co-ed Senior Secondary School, leadership is viewed not as a privilege, but as a responsibility earned through integrity, dedication, and a genuine spirit of service. We believe that every young leader has the potential to inspire positive change by leading with humility, discipline, and compassion. Each academic year, the school proudly conducts its Investiture Ceremony , a prestigious occasion where deserving students are entrusted with positions of leadership. Adorned with ceremonial sashes and badges, members of the Student Council take a solemn oath to uphold the values of the institution, lead by example, and serve the school community with honesty, commitment, and excellence. Through this tradition, we nurture confident, responsible, and ethical leaders who are prepared to make meaningful contributions to society.
The School Cabinet brings together Head Boy and Head Girl, House Captains and Vice-Captains, and a team of student Ministers responsible for areas such as discipline, sports, health, the environment and cultural affairs. Together, they form a bridge between the student body and the school administration.
At St. Mary's Co-Ed Senior Secondary School, every student is proudly assigned to one of the four school houses, creating a strong sense of belonging, leadership, and teamwork. Throughout the academic year, the houses participate in a wide range of inter-house competitions, including academics, sports, cultural programmes, literary events, and co-curricular activities. These healthy competitions inspire students to develop confidence, discipline, sportsmanship, and the spirit of working together while striving for excellence:
Together, our four houses foster a vibrant school culture where every student learns the values of leadership, collaboration, healthy competition, and lifelong friendships.
